CHIJIOKE MAMA (PhD)

Dr. MAMA is a seasoned energy and finance expert with over 15 years of experience spanning both the public and private sectors. His expertise covers upstream, midstream, power, and gas project development, with core strengths in transaction advisory, financial advisory, and policy advisory. He has consistently supported high-value, complex projects across multiple regions.

He has provided commercial and technical support for the acquisition of deepwater and onshore oil and gas assets in Nigeria and Guyana, and has led development efforts for large-scale LNG projects. Notably, he led a major Nigerian downstream company in acquiring a deepwater block in Nigeria and advised a Guyanese firm on the acquisition of two shallow-water blocks.

As a policy advisor, Dr. MAMA contributed to the drafting of the Abia State Electricity Bill 2025 and currently serves on the Benue State Economic Advisory Committee (BEAC). He previously served as Special Adviser on Strategy and Policy to the Chairman of the Governing Board at the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). In 2022, he also advised the German Federal Foreign Office under the Global Hydrogen Diplomacy Program to advance hydrogen as a decarbonization fuel in key hydrocarbon economies.

Beyond policy, he continues to advise exploration, production, gas, and power companies on asset acquisition, deal structuring, financial modeling, commercial assessments, mergers, and capital raising.

Dr. MAMA holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance, a Doctorate in Business Administration, an MBA, and a BSc in Biochemistry.
