Bola Kalejaiye (PhD)

Dr. Bola Kalejaiye holds a First Class Honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

He has over 23 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked extensively with international oil companies in Nigeria and the United States. Most notably, he spent approximately 18 years with ExxonMobil, where he successfully led the execution of numerous multi-million-dollar offshore and onshore projects across the oil, gas, power, and marine infrastructure sectors.

As Production Projects Manager at ExxonMobil, Dr. Kalejaiye managed a project portfolio valued at over $250 million annually. In addition to his leadership roles in project management, development planning, and design engineering, he also built significant expertise in reservoir engineering, leading teams focused on optimizing production from major fields in the Gulf of Guinea. He oversaw ExxonMobil’s interest in OML 118 and was a key contributor to the technical and financial work that secured the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the multibillion-dollar Bonga Northwest development.

Dr. Kalejaiye is a member of several professional bodies, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Nigeria Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE), the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is also a Fellow of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and the Cambridge Philosophical Society.
